PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA WALL CH¬¬ART TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS ARGUMENTASI SISWA KELAS X SMK PAB 6 MEDAN ESTATE

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media Wall Chart terhadap kemampuan belajar menulis karangan argumentasi siswa kelas X SMK PAB 6 Medan Estate. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X-1 TKR yang berjumlah 36 orang dan  kelas X-2 TSM yang berjumlah 36 orang. Dengan menggunakan teknik sampling (sampel acak) maka diputuskan menggunakan sampel kelas X-1 TKR sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan media Wall Chart dan kelas X-2 TSM dengan menggunakan media gambar/fhoto. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Eksperimen. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode ekperimen post-test only control group design yaitu eksperimen yang dilaksanakan dengan memberi perlakuan terhadap dua kelompok yang berbeda antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, nilai rata-rata kemampuan menulis laporan hasil pengamatan siswa dikelas eksperimen adalah 76,25 sedangkan nilai rata-rata siswa kelas kontrol adalah 63,61. Dengan demikian nilai kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol, pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji “t”. Dari perhitungan  uji “t” t₀ di konsultasikan dengan t_tabel pada taraf 5% dengan dk = (N₁ + N₂) -2 = (30+30)-2 =58, maka diperoleh t_tabel pada taraf signifikan 5% = 2,01%. Setelah dikonsultasikan, ternyata t₀ (3,64) yang diperoleh lebh besar dari t_tabel yaitu 3,64>2,01. Karena t₀ yang diperoleh lebih besar dari t_tabel,  maka dapat dinytakan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa media Wall Chart berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan belajar menulis karangan argumentasi siswa kelas X SMK PB 6 Medan Estate

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of Wall Chart media on the learning ability to write argumentation for students of class X SMK PAB 6 Medan Estate. The population of this study were all students of class X-1 TKR totaling 36 people and class X-2 TSM totaling 36 people. By using a sampling technique (random sample) it was decided to use a sample class X-1 TKR as an experimental class using Wall Chart media and X-2 TSM class using image / fhoto media. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The method used in this research is the post-test only control group design experiment method which is an experiment carried out by giving treatment to two groups that differ between the experimental class and the control class. The results showed that, the average value of the ability to write reports on the observations of students in the experimental class was 76.25 while the average value of the control class students was 63.61. Thus the value of the experimental class is higher than the control class, hypothesis testing is done using the "t" test. From the calculation of the test "t" t0 consult with the table at the level of 5% with dk = (N1 + N2) -2 = (30 + 30) -2 = 58, then obtained t table at the significant level 5% = 2.01%. After being consulted, it turns out that t0 (3.64) obtained is greater than t table, which is 3.64> 2.01. Because the t0 obtained is greater than t table, it can be said that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This proves that the Wall Chart media has a positive effect on the ability to learn to write arguments for class X students of SMK PB 6 Medan Estate
