Pengendalian Kadar Asam Lemak Bebas (ALB) Pada Proses Produksi Crude Palm Oil (CPO) dengan Metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

Abstract


Asam lemak bebas (ALB) merupakan indikator mutu Crude Palm Oil (CPO). Perubahan kadar ALB selama proses pengolahan dari Tandan Buah Segar (TBS) menjadi CPO dipengaruhi oleh adanya air dan enzim lipase. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab kegagalan dan efek dari kegagalan yang menyebabkan ALB meningkat. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengetahui potensi kegagalan adalah Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Hasil analisis dengan FMEA menunjukkan bahwa Kritikal RPN adalah 273,16. Sedangkan Nilai RPN diatas kritikal RPN terdapat 3 (tiga) penyebab kegagalan dengan urutan tertinggi adalah Lajur produksi menjadi lebih lama dan terjadinya pemborosan muda serta proses pembongkaran buah yang terhambat dengan nilai RPN masing-masing sebesar 392, 343, dan 280
