The Power Of Social Support among Female Cancer Survivors in Aceh Province Kekuatan Dukungan Sosial pada Penyintas Kanker Wanita di Provinsi Aceh

Abstract


Kanker pada wanita merupakan masalah kesehatan yang berdampak luas secara fisik dan psikologis sehingga diperlukan dukungan sosial yang memadai untuk meningkatkan penerimaan terhadap penyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan penerimaan penyakit pada penyintas kanker wanita di Provinsi Aceh. Studi ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan populasi seluruh penyintas kanker wanita di Pusat Onkologi RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh sebanyak 131 responden, dengan dengan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) dan Acceptance of Illness Scale (AIS). Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dan uji korelasi untuk melihat hubungan keduanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 71% penyintas memperoleh dukungan sosial kategori tinggi dan 65,6% memiliki tingkat penerimaan penyakit yang tinggi. Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara dukungan sosial dan penerimaan penyakit (p = 0,016; OR = 4,025), yang menunjukkan penyintas dengan dukungan sosial tinggi berpeluang empat kali lebih besar memiliki penerimaan penyakit yang baik. Kesimpulannya, dukungan sosial sangat berperan dalam meningkatkan penerimaan dan kesejahteraan psikologis penyintas kanker wanita. Disarankan agar keluarga, tenaga kesehatan, dan lingkungan memberikan dukungan emosional yang optimal selama proses pengobatan
