Pengaruh Cekaman Air Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Tanaman Kopi

Abstract


Air adalah salah satu faktor terpenting dalam menentukan distribusi spesies di seluruh dunia. Cekaman air memberikan pengaruh buruk pada banyak aspek fisiologi tanaman, terutama kapasitas fotosintesis, perubahan metabolisme pada tanaman disertai dengan penurunan pertumbuhan. Kondisi ini bisa terjadi pada semua tanaman, termasuk tanaman kopi. Cekaman air mempengaruhi pertumbuhan vegetatif dan generatif tanaman kopi. Kekeringan telah menimbulkan banyak kerusakan pertumbuhan terhadap bunga maupun pentil buah, sehingga mengakibatkan produksi pada tahun berikunya akan mengalami penurunan
