STRATEGI GURU BIMBINGAN KONSELING DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI SISWA BERSTATUS ORANG TUA CERAI BIDANG STUDI AQIDAH AKHLAK KELAS VII DI MTs. AL – ITTIHADIYAH MEDAN
Abstract
This research is to describe the efforts of guidance and counseling teachers in improving the achievement of children with divorced parents in the field of Aqidah-Akhlak studies in class VII MTs. Al-Ittihadiyah-Medan. Several instruments used for data collection in this qualitative research consist of observation, interviews and data analysis. The education of children with divorced parents is the focus of this research. The family is the first and foremost place of education for children, besides that, the family is also the primary foundation for children's growth and development. So how will their education continue if the role and presence of parents is no longer clear, of course it will greatly influence the child's mental development which in turn will have an impact on their learning achievement. In this research, the discussion focuses on the role of Guidance and Counseling teachers in improving their learning achievement, especially in the Aqidah-Akhlak subjects. The results of the research show that Guidance Counseling teachers have attempted to use a personal approach to students and create a pleasant school atmosphere and establish communication with children so that it is easier for teachers to find out the problems students face. Apart from that, not all students' parents' divorce causes their learning achievement to decline because children's learning achievement does not entirely depend on the presence of their parents, but also depends on the child's own desire to change, which plays an important role in increasing learning achievement. Guidance Counseling teachers strive to support success through motivation, instilling an attitude of enthusiasm, self-confidence and at the same time providing continuous support to children so that they are able to change themselves in a better direction, not because they think about themselves and feel alone.
