ANALISIS KESULITAN MEMPELAJARI ILMU TAJWID PADA SISWA KELAS VII MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH (MTs) DARUL AMAN MEDAN

Abstract


This research was motivated by a review of students' ability to read the Qur'an in accordance with the rules of recitation among class VII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Aman-Medan. The aim of the research is to determine the level of difficulty, causal factors and solutions used by teachers to overcome problems experienced by students in reading the Qur'an in accordance with the rules or laws of recitation. This type of research is field research using a qualitative method approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Primary data sources were obtained from Al-Quran-Hadith subject teachers and class VII students at MTs Darul Aman Medan. Meanwhile, secondary data sources were obtained through various types of media, both print and electronic, such as books, magazines, journals and other reading materials that are appropriate to the research carried out. These data were analyzed through repeated reading with marking and grouping, and then data reduction, display and verification and conclusions are carried out. The results of the research show that students' difficulties in learning the science of recitation include makhârijul letters, reading laws, distinguishing harakat. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors are internal factors which include students' lack of enthusiasm to repeat Al-Quran lessons at home, lack of understanding of recitation material (tajwid), lack of interest in reading the Koran, while external factors include lack of motivation and attention from both parents, lack of prior religious education, both formal and non-formal education. Furthermore, the efforts made by the teacher to overcome the students’ reading problems include adding hours of Al-Quran lessons along with recitation lessons, instilling enthusiasm in students to love the Qur’an more, applying variations, getting used to the routine of reading the Qur’an in congregation for 20-30 minutes every morning.
