PENGARUH AL-MA’TSURAT TERHADAP PERKEMBANMGAN KEJIWAAN SISWA KELAS VII DI SMP IT AL IKHWAN KECAMATAN TANJUNG MORAWA

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the reading of several selected verses from the Koran and Sunnah as well as selected prayers, all of which are a means of dhikr and how they influence the development of students' souls. This quantitative research involved class VII students at SMP IT al-Ikhwan. Data was obtained through a questionnaire which was processed in such a way based on a statistical approach so as to obtain conclusions in accordance with the research objectives. The results of the research show that the habit of reading Al-Ma'tsurat which is carried out regularly before formal lessons in class has an influence on students' mental development which is characterized by commendable attitudes in students' daily lives at school such as being brave, obedient and disciplined.
