THE EFFECT OF DISCIPLINE AND WORK SUPERVISION ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AT PT.PANCA KURNIA NIAGA NUSANTARA MEDAN

The success of a company depends on the working performance of company management. In order to support the achievement of the company, the employees are required to work in accordance with the responsibilities assigned to them. PT. Panca Kurnia Niaga Nusantara Medan is a company engaged in bus body manufacturer, large bus body supliers, as well as workshop and the company had some problems relating to discipline and supervision of work. A common issue is that employees often come late and the lack of leader supervision on employees’ performance. The theories used in this research are those of Human Resource Management, which deals with discipline, supervision of work and employee performance. The research used quantitative approach with quantitative descriptive research type and the nature of this research is descriptive explanatory. Data collection was perforrmed through questionnaires, interviews and documentation study. The research used multiple regression analysis. The population in this study were all employees of PT.Panca Kurnia Niaga Nusantara Medan totaling 104 employees of which 30 respondents were used to test the validity and the remaining 74 respondents were used for the study samples. The result of the research showed that discipline and supervision simultaneously affect the performance of employees with a value of F (10.621) > F-table (3.12). The results of this study indicated that partially discipline has a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees in which T-count (2.980)> T- table (1.992) and partially supervision has a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees in which T-tcount (2.205)> T-table (1.992).The conclusion of this study stated  that Discipline and Supervision simultaneously and partially have a positive and significant effect on employee performance PT.Panca Kurnia Niaga Nusantara Medan.
