PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MODEL MIND MAP TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS KARANGAN DESKRIPSI PADA SISWA KELAS XI SMA PAB 9 PATUMBAK DELI SERDANG

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model mind map terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi siswa kelas XI SMA Swasta PAB 9 Patumbak Kabupaten Deliserdang . Populasi adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 1 Yang berjumlah 30 orang, dan kelas XI IPA 2 yang berjumlah 30 orang. Kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen yaitu metode post-test only design group. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model mind map terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi adalah tes penguasaan dengan ditugaskan siswa untuk mampu menulis karangan deskripsi. Dari  hasil pengolahan data diperoleh rata-rata kelas eksperimen adalah 77,33 sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol 68,17. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol. Setelah dilakukan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai dengan rumus =  = 6,1. Dikonsultasikan  pada dk = 58 = 2,002. Jadi   >  yaitu 6,1>2,002, sehingga diperoleh  (hipotesis nihil) ditolak, dan  (hipotesis alternatif) diterimah. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model mind map lebih berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi, dibandingkan dengan teknik ekspositori.

Abstract. This study was conducted to determine the effect of Mind Mapp Model for  the description writing skills by the students of class XI SMA Swasta PAB 9 Patumbak Kabupaten Deli Serdang for 2014/2015 educatioal periode. The population is XI  of 1^st  science class totally 30 peoples as experimental class and 36 peoples as the control class. This research method is experimental method is post-test only design group.the instrument has been used to know the effectivity of using mind map method for description text writing skills is be take work for student tobe can to writing the description text. Based on the results of the experimental class has an average value of 77.33 but of the control class has an average value 68.17. Based on the results has to be predicted is the value of experimental class higher than control class. After take the t test has a value with :  =  = 6,1. Consulted by  on dk = 58 = 2,002. so   >  yaitu 6,1>2,002,  so has a result  (zonk hypotesis) is failed, and  (alternative hypotesis) is accepted. Based on the analysis data can to be conclussed is the using Mind Map Model is very effective than Expository Tecnich for description text eriting skills.
