Pengembangan Media Edukasi Interaktif Benda Koleksi Museum Rumah Aceh Berbasis Augmented Reality Menggunakan Metode Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC)

Abstract


Perkembangan teknologi digital memberikan peluang baru dalam penyampaian informasi edukatif, termasuk pada bidang pelestarian budaya di museum. Namun, penyajian informasi koleksi museum yang masih bersifat konvensional, seperti papan keterangan dan label teks statis, menyebabkan rendahnya minat serta pemahaman pengunjung, khususnya generasi muda. Kondisi tersebut juga ditemukan pada Museum Rumah Aceh, terutama pada koleksi benda bersejarah masa pemerintahan Sultan Iskandar Muda. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan media edukasi interaktif dengan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) sebagai alat untuk memperkenalkan dan mempelajari koleksi Museum Rumah Aceh dengan cara yang lebih menarik, relevan, dan informatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) yang meliputi tahap concept(konsep), design(desain), material collecting(pengumpulan bahan), assembly(pembuatan), testing(pengujian), dan distribution(distribusi). Media AR dikembangkan dengan teknik marker tracking untuk menampilkan objek tiga dimensi beserta informasi sejarah secara real-time. Percobaan dilaksanakan untuk pengguna yang melibatkan mahasiswa dan pengunjung museum atau masyarakat umum menggunakan angket respon pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media edukasi berbasis AR memperoleh respon positif dengan tingkat kelayakan pada kategori layak hingga sangat layak. Media ini dinilai mampu meningkatkan minat pengguna serta membantu pemahaman terhadap nilai sejarah dan budaya koleksi Museum Rumah Aceh. Dengan demikian, media AR yang dikembangkan berpotensi menjadi alternatif media edukasi digital dalam mendukung pelestarian budaya lokal Aceh.
