PERBEDAAN HASIL KOMUNIKASI SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOPERATIF TIPE TGT DAN STAD DI SMP ASY-SYAFI’IYAH INTERNASIONAL

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajarkan oleh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dan STAD pada topik statistik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VII di SMP Asy-Syafi'iyah Internasional Medan dengan sampel 2 kelas, masing-masing kelas terdiri dari 34 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa adalah post-test. Analisis data masing-masing kelas eksperimen didapatkan bahwa rata-rata skor posttest pada kelas eksperimen TGT adalah 57,27 dan nilai rata-rata posttest pada kelas eksperimen STAD adalah 53,92. Uji hipotesis diperoleh Sig. (1-tailed) = 0,042. Karena Sig. (1-tailed) 0,042 <0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan diterima H1. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar oleh tipe pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT lebih baik daripada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar oleh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD.
