PERAN TOKOH AGAMA DALAM MENANAMKAN NILAI-NILAI KEAGAMAAN TERHADAP PERILAKU KEHIDUPAN ANAK REMAJA DI DESA TELAGA SUKA KECAMATAN PANAI TENGAH

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the role of religious figures in instilling religious values among teenagers. This qualitative research took place in Telaga Suka Village, Panai Tengah District. As is the case with teenagers in general, their understanding of religious knowledge is lacking, what's more, they are also lazy and neglectful of praying or carrying out other religious activities. The role of parents who do not provide role models also has its own impact on adolescent behavior. So this research was conducted to look more closely at the extent of the role of religious figures and their contribution to the moral problems of local teenagers, especially in instilling religious values. Data was obtained through interviews, observations and documents which were analyzed in such a way. Research informants involved the Village Head, religious leaders, the community and teenagers of Telaga Suka Village. The results of the research show that the role of religious figures in instilling religious values in the life behavior of teenagers in Telaga Suka Village, Panai Tengah District has quite a positive impact through various religious and social activities such as routine recitations, teaching religious knowledge and understanding the values of life in accordance with Islamic teachings. Apart from that, they also provide counseling and guidance for teenagers to improve their personality.
