PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT PEDESAAN TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN TINGGI DI DESA SEI PALAS DUSUN IV SEI LUMUT KECAMATAN PANAI HILIR KABUPATEN LABUHAN BATU

Abstract

This study aims to describe the views of rural communities on higher education. This research was conducted in the community of Sei Palas Village, Hamlet IV Sei Lumut, Panai Hilir District; The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques are using observation, documentation and interviews. In this study, the informants were several people from the Sei Palas Village community. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the public's perception of the importance of higher education mostly says that higher education is good if it can support future welfare, although not all people can send their children to college level. One solution is through the motivation and support of parents so that their children understand about studying in college, and understand about the future. They are also required to be able to cultivate the interest of their children to continue to this level so that they have a provision that has prospects for their lives in the future.
