SOLIDIFIKASI/STABILISASI ION PB(II) MENGGUNAKAN GEOPOLIMER BERBASIS FLY ASH

Abstract


Pb(II) adalah ion logam berat Pb yang berasal dari aktifitas industri. Diantara banyak metode, solidifikasi/stabilisasi (S/S) dinilai tepat untuk mengimobilisasi ion logam toksik tersebut. Penggunaan bahan geopolimer dari fly ash teraktivasi alkali sebagai zat pengikat, berdampak sangat baik dan terbukti efektif terhadap imobilisasi ion logam tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memvariasikan 5 konsentrasi ion Pb(II), yaitu 1,0%; 1,5%; 2,0%; 2,5% dan 3,0%. Hasil studi ini diperoleh konsentrasi ion Pb(II) optimum yaitu pada 2,0% dengan konsentrasi leaching out ion Pb(II) adalah 1,23 dan 1,22 mg.L-1 untuk waktu pengawetan campuran padat masing-masing 3 dan 7 hari. Sedangkan nilai kuat tekan yang dimiliki adalah berkisar 40 MPa. Analisis menggunakan FTIR didapati stuktur yang padat dan baik dari campuran padatan.
