PENGARUH TES FORMATIF TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH PEMBANGUNAN DIDIKAN ISLAM PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine the value of the formative test and its effect on student motivation in the subject matter of Islamic Religious Education in Class VIII - Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamic Education Development, Medan Baru District, Academic Year 2019/2020. The study population involved all students of class VIII, totaling 40 students and at the same time were assigned as the research sample. The research method used is quantitative methods with descriptive analysis techniques of correlation through linear regression test with data collection tools through questionnaires. This study is to examine how the effect of formative tests on student motivation in Islamic Education subjects. The calculation uses simple regression linearity analysis, while to test the hypothesis using the t test formula. The conclusion from the results of this study is the average value of the formative test in the subject of Islamic Religious Education is 73.38 with category B (Good). The average value of students' motivation to learn Islamic Religious Education is 80.85 with category A (Very Good). The effect of the formative test on the learning motivation of Islamic Religious Education in grade VIII students of Islamic Education Development at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Medan Baru District was 37.8%. Implementation of the formative test results in a coefficient of direction b = 0.46, which means that each increase in the variable of formative test implementation by one unit, the level of motivation to learn Islamic Religious Education will increase by 0.46. The regression coefficient is positive, meaning that there is a positive relationship between formative tests and student learning motivation, meaning that the more routinely the teacher gives formative tests, the higher the student's motivation for learning in the subject of Islamic Religious Education.
