Pengembangan Model Pembelajaran Mitigasi Cagar Budaya (MICAYA) pada Pembelajaran Sejarah Kebencanaan di Sekolah Menengah Atas Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Malang

Abstract

This study addresses the need for contextual and relevant history education by integrating disaster mitigation and cultural heritage preservation into classroom instruction. It aims to develop the Micaya (Cultural Heritage Mitigation) Learning Model and examine students’ responses to its implementation in disaster history education. The study employed a research and development approach using the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Conducted at the State University of Malang Laboratory Senior High School, the research involved 30 students and one history teacher. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative interpretation. The findings revealed positive student responses to the Micaya Learning Model, with response scores ranging from 78.5% to 89.1%. Interview findings further indicated that students perceived the learning activities as more engaging and relevant to contemporary environmental and disaster-related issues, contributing to their motivation to study history. These findings suggest that the Micaya Learning Model offers a promising pedagogical approach to connecting historical knowledge, cultural heritage preservation, and disaster awareness. Further research is required to establish its effectiveness in enhancing students’ critical thinking and disaster preparedness.
