Taushiah: Jurnal Hukum, Pendidikan dan Kemasyarakatan encourages constructive scholarly discussion, critical engagement, and academic exchange concerning articles published in the journal. Post-publication discussion contributes to the development of knowledge, supports scholarly accountability, and helps maintain the accuracy and integrity of the academic record.
This policy establishes the procedures for submitting, assessing, and, where appropriate, publishing comments and responses concerning previously published articles. It complements the journal's Publication Ethics Policy and Corrections and Retractions Policy.
1. Scope of Post-Publication Discussion
Taushiah welcomes scholarly comments, critical observations, and responses that address substantive aspects of published articles, including:
-
Research methods, evidence, and data interpretation.
-
Theoretical frameworks, legal reasoning, educational approaches, and conceptual arguments.
-
The originality, validity, and significance of research findings.
-
Interpretations, conclusions, and their implications for law, education, and society.
-
Relevant scholarly perspectives that may clarify, challenge, or extend the arguments presented in published articles.
Submissions must be relevant to the article under discussion and contribute constructively to academic debate. Personal attacks, discriminatory or defamatory statements, unsupported allegations, and submissions unrelated to the scholarly content of the article will not be considered for publication.
2. Submission Procedure
Scholarly comments and responses concerning articles published in Taushiah may be submitted by email to taushiah@fai.uisu.ac.id.
Submissions should include:
-
The title, author(s), and publication details or DOI of the article concerned, where available.
-
A clear explanation of the issue, argument, or finding being discussed.
-
Relevant evidence, references, or scholarly reasoning supporting the comments.
-
The name, institutional affiliation, and contact information of the submitter.
-
Disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest relevant to the submission.
The editorial team may request additional information or clarification when necessary to assess the submission.
3. Editorial Assessment
All submissions are assessed by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated editor for relevance, scholarly merit, clarity, factual accuracy, and compliance with publication ethics. The editor may consult independent experts when specialist advice is required.
The journal may accept a submission for publication, request revisions, seek further clarification, or decline publication. Editorial decisions will be based on scholarly considerations and the journal's editorial policies.
Where a submission concerns the conduct or work of an editor involved in its assessment, appropriate arrangements will be made to avoid conflicts of interest and ensure impartial consideration.
4. Right of Reply
Where appropriate, the author or authors of the article under discussion may be invited to respond to the comments raised. Any response should address the substantive scholarly issues and comply with the journal's editorial and ethical standards.
Taushiah seeks to facilitate balanced academic discussion. However, the opportunity to respond does not guarantee that the response will be published. The editorial team will make publication decisions based on scholarly relevance, quality, and compliance with journal policies.
5. Publication and Linking
Accepted comments and responses may be published as separate scholarly contributions or in another suitable format determined by the journal.
Where technically and editorially feasible, published discussions will be linked to the original article, including through its Digital Object Identifier (DOI), to facilitate access and preserve the scholarly record.
Publication of a comment or response does not automatically modify the original article. Any correction, retraction, expression of concern, or other formal change to the published record will be handled in accordance with Taushiah's Corrections and Retractions Policy.
6. Research and Publication Ethics
If a post-publication comment raises credible concerns about factual inaccuracies, research misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other potential violations of publication ethics, the journal will assess the matter in accordance with its Publication Ethics Policy and Allegations of Research Misconduct Policy.
Where appropriate, the journal may request explanations or supporting documentation from the relevant parties and take further action in accordance with its applicable policies.
Any formal correction, retraction, or expression of concern will be considered separately through the relevant editorial procedures.
7. Confidentiality and Impartiality
Taushiah will handle submissions with due regard for confidentiality, fairness, and impartiality. Information provided during the assessment process will be shared only as necessary for editorial evaluation, consultation, investigation, or other legitimate purposes consistent with the journal's policies.
All parties are expected to communicate respectfully and provide accurate information. The journal does not permit retaliation against individuals who raise good-faith scholarly concerns through established procedures.
